About Me

I'm a digital product designer with an affection for user research, product definition, information architecture, and interaction design. My unparalleled commitment to users, clients, learning, and quality of product is fueled by an insatiable curiosity, a fascination with people (their motivations, behavior, and struggles), and the desire to create meaningful change. I love identifying problems or opportunities and designing solutions to alleviate them—which I’ve been doing for over 11 years.

Capabilities

I'm thorough, analytical, outspoken, dedicated, inquisitive, and growth-minded. I have a well-rounded skill set—ranging from research plans to asset generation, high-level strategy to detailed design. I eagerly contribute to user research, adoption strategy, feature development, product requirements, information architecture, content models, wireframes, interaction design specs, prototypes, user testing, and more. I’m especially skilled at synthesizing business and user research data into product strategies, product requirements, and design pillars as well as designing thorough, deliberate, and thoughtful wireframes with detailed documentation. I have a background in graphic design and can easily do visual production design work when needed, but I much prefer to leave the visual design itself to talented folks who specialize there.

Experience

I have been at Fjord (formerly Chaotic Moon) for 4.5 years, where I have gained significant experience in platform design, mobile apps, and web applications for enterprise, retail, games, and more. I have designed for Responsive Web, iOS, Android, Windows, VR, and TV interfaces. I’ve worked directly with developers and solution architects, content designers, motion designers, and visual designers. I attended Nielsen Norman Group trainings on user testing and creative ideation.

When I first came to Chaotic Moon, I built the technical production department from scratch, managing 2-5 production designers responsible for design specifications and asset generation. The department quickly increased the efficiency of the design and development teams, increased the quality of our builds, reduced the need for design changes, and became a key differentiator for the firm.

As Marketing Director at Coleman & Associates, I overhauled and streamlined all admin and marketing operations, managed a team of part-time admins, fostered client relationships, and strengthened the company brand through improvements to their market messaging, visual identity, digital presence, and print media. This transformed our image from a small-time studio into a much more legitimate, sophisticated company and major player in the market. Revenue increased by roughly 50% while I was there and has quadrupled since.

Giving Back

Because I’m passionate about Girls in STEM, I also voluntarily served as the Community Outreach Lead at Fjord, organizing tech workshops for Girl Scouts and young latinas as well as events that promote volunteerism and diversity awareness.
